His journey into triathlon is remarkable. He only started the sport in 2022, after growing up playing and practicing a variety of sports. Inspired by his elementary school sports teacher, Jonathan quickly discovered a passion for the combination of swimming, cycling and running, and his talent became apparent almost immediately.

Training should be fun and not only performance.

One of the early highlights of his career came in 2024, when he won the IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau overall, taking the victory from a field of more than 1,600 athletes. Since then, Jonathan has continued to develop into a strong middle-distance athlete and has made the step towards racing professionally.

The 2026 season has already been a breakthrough year. Jonathan became German National Champion in Sprint Duathlon and German National Champion over the Middle Distance, winning the latter in 3:40:24 after taking the lead in the swim and extending his advantage on the bike. He has also delivered strong performances on the international circuit, including a fourth-place finish at Challenge Turku and an eighth-place finish at Challenge Samarkand.
