Get to know team Alpecin-Deceuninck

Alpecin-Deceuninck and Virtuoos have been working together since 2019. That year, the team, then still known as Corendon Circus, expanded its focus from cyclocross to road racing as well. This proved to be a great success: in their very first season on the road, a young Mathieu van der Poel immediately took victory at the Amstel Gold Race. Since then, the Belgian team has grown into a consistent presence in the WorldTour peloton, earning an official WorldTour license from 2023 onwards.

It is extremely important to work towards goals in a targeted manner and this includes the correct periodization of supplements. Through our collaboration with Virtuoos, we are also succeeding in this.
Performance Alpecin – Deceuninck

In recent years, Alpecin-Deceuninck has made a strong impression with major wins in classics and one-day races. Mathieu van der Poel notably won Paris–Roubaix three times in a row, as well as three victories in the Tour of Flanders. The team has also become a key player in the Grand Tours, boasting eleven stage wins at the Tour de France to date.

Nutrition and supplementation are an essential part of the team’s performance strategy. “In the past, nutrition was seen as something static, but now we know that the dosage, timing, and quality of your nutrition have a huge impact,” says Kristof de Kegel, Head of Performance. “Although our training methods haven’t changed dramatically, altitude training combined with nutrition and supplementation has significantly improved our peak performances.”

In 2025, we extended our partnership again, this time for three more years. We are proud to contribute to the team’s success with our nutritional supplements.
